Launch Challenge to the Audience


Challenge Communication

Now that you’ve got your Challenge configured to align with the methodology, it’s time to consider how to engage the audience and inspire their participation. As a best practice, a communication flow has been built into Innovation Central, and this communication flow has consistently produced results.

  • Launch e-mail: Announces the launch of the challenge, the topic and the information for accessing the challenge. This is sent the first day of the challenge.
  • Reminder e-mail: Highlights some interesting ideas and comments during the challenge, and reminds everyone to participate before time runs out.
  • Last Call e-mail: This email is sent 24 – 48 hours before the challenge closes, and reminds everyone of the last opportunity to participate.


This cadence of communication is vital to the success of a 2 – 3 week challenge, and should always be planned.
