Resources are ways to add interesting and helpful content to your Portal. Resources can be text (such as a welcome message), an attachment (such as a presentation) or a web page/URL (such as a link to your company intranet).
Resources can also be placed in the center column of the home page when people land on the Portal, which gives you flexibility to frequently refresh content. Here are a few examples:
- Site Orientation: Not just for launch, but for any new employees in the future, etc. . . . What is the purpose of your program? How should people navigate the site content? What processes are in place? Who is the point person for questions?
- Calendar of Events: Knowing that innovation extends well beyond the software, what other events do you have planned? Do you have inspirational speakers coming in? Breakthrough innovation sessions planned? A town hall on innovation? A lunch and learn session? This is a great way to use the Resources.
- Innovation Vision: Keep the purpose and mandate top of mind for everyone.
- Recognition: Share the stories, lessons learned and recognize your organization's innovators.
1 - Resource Options
Choose the type of Resource to create, give it a title and then provide the content. For a text document, type directly into the text editor widget. For other Resources, provide the attachment or URL to direct your users.
2 - Display Options
Choose the order and icon for your Resource. You can choose not to display the item, so you can work on it and only show it once you're satisfied that it's complete.
